IE 9 browser sign in page warning message

Hi Gurus,

We are going to windows 7 + IE 9. We are on PT 8.50.23. The default IE9 gives me an warning that browser is not supported, where as IE 9 is upported. I was reading few docs, the solution that came to me is either modify browser version check code in signin.html  or modify the browser.xml. Please refer

Now with if I go with signin.html it gives me few errors such wrong userid/password is not giving me an error and if application server is down its also not giving me an error message.
