Slow processing time when entering Kit items

I would like to know if anyone has experienced slow processing time when entering line items in Sales Order entry that are coded as Kits.  If you have, please let me know if you have been able to improve the response time and what you did to make it run faster. We are running Enterprise one  Tools release 9.1.3
