Flash message in P17714 only working for Address Type 'C'

Hello

For service management P17714 we are considering using th eflash messages to indicate to the end user there is a credit message against the customer.  However while testing this, I have discovered the it only works for address type C.  We have address types 'E' - employee that will get extended to be a customer or even a 'V' Vendor search type extended to be a customer.

When entering service orders against a customer that the search type is not a 'C', the flash messages do not display.

Does Anybody know a way around this?
