How to test any change that we make on Test Instance for IRecruitment.

Hello,

In IRecruitment I had changed a message for the password reset functionality on Test Instance. But I dont know how to test that issue ?? If we can do the same change on production then we can test our issue by reseting a password from our website IRecruitment page. 

If any one know how to test an issue of IRecruitment on test instance then Please guide ..
