OTM database purge plan

Hi Friends,Our Oracle Transportation Management used to be of 200 GB, currently its size has increased to 600 GB, this is causing more frequent backups to be taken and also consuming 3 times the space.
Please suggest if we have some standard Purging process which we can follow as a long term process.

Database Version:- Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.2.0
Platform:-  x86_64 GNU/Linux
