DG broker waiting 15 mins to start former primary

 Hi All,

HI all,

 

I have 2 node 11.2.0.3 RAC db with 2 node RAC physical standby database. I configured DG broker for Data guard management.

 

When i do switchover using dg broker, it is taking apprx 17 mins to finish switchover. When i checked in alert log files, broker waited for 15 mins to start former primary database.

Instance shutdown complete

ORA-1092 : opitsk aborting process

 

 

Wed Dec 11 01:39:39 2013

Starting ORACLE instance (normal).

 

After broker shutdown former primary for role transistion, it waited 15 mins to start it .

What could be the reason...?
