Installation of Siebel 8.1. x eMail Marketing Server ESD component failing on Windows 2008

 Anyone achieve success installing eMail Marketing Server components on Windows Server 2008?

We are on:
Siebel 8.1.1.10
Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition 32-bit
JDK update 45

Installs hang in both Windows Server 2008 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 SP2, with or without recommended compatibility settings.

This is a known issue that requires the MS installer upgrade which is targeted for Siebel 8.2.x release.
