Siebel Open UI 8.1.1.10 or Siebel Open UI 8.1.1.11 compatibility on IE8 browsers

We have Siebel 8.1.1.3, and we are planning to upgrade to siebel 8.1.1.10 Open UI - our call center users are XP machines with IE8 browsers, there will be a brief time when call center users will remain on XP machines with IE8 browsers even after Open UI is in place before they go on to Windows 7 machine with IE9 browsers.

I wanted to check if Open UI is supported on IE8 browsers, All the documenation being referred in oracle support show that Open UI is supported on IE9 but doesnt talk about IE8 - whats the limitation in utilizing IE8 browser with open UI.
