implications on ddl replications and replicat with assume target defs

Hi Team,

I need to know what are the implications / downside using below environmnet -

Source complete schema replication with DDL replication enabled.

Target assuming - assumetargetdefs

what happens -

1. source adds new columns to tables?

2. source chnages any packages / functions / procedures?

3. as we are assuming targetdefs , is it possible to add new columns in target?

but confused with - ddl replication & assumetargetdefs , Please clarify.
