After upgrade to 11.2.0.4 RMAN incremenal merge consumes 100% cpu.

Since recent upgrade from 11.2.0.2 to 11.2.0.4 RMAN incremental merge keeps getting stuck after a few files. Never seen this in 11.2.0.2. We use NFS mounted EMC Data Domain for backup storage. I tried again after remounting DD with different options to no avail. Oracle support says there is no reported bug regarding this and since we use VM server it should be reproduced in native system which is not feasible in our environment. Has anyone seen this issue? What I see is, let say I open 4 channels for incremental merge which in turn spawns 4 slave processes on the backend. Within the next
