Routing Resources - Difference between Resource Units and Shit Units

Hello Gurus,

who could explain me the difference between Resource Units and Shift Units?

Please look at the attched screen shot.

If I have 1 Unit available for Resource Unit, this mean I have 1 Assembler available for an 8 hour shit.

Let me know the difference between the two.
