Drillthrough from Planning to FDM

Hi gurus,
We have Hyperion Planning v11.1.2.2 installed on a 64b Linux box as well as FDM v11.1.2.2 on a MS Server box.
Our users requests drillthrough functionality from Planning to FDM which is fine. This works as long as the users login to workspace first.
However, some of our users login to Planning directly (port 8300), ie not through workspace (port 19000), since they experience that the performance is better when using Planning directly. When trying to drill-through they get an error immediately:
Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
