Has there been any successful Lead to order Integrations with E-Business Suite?

We have used web services to this point to create a limited, one direction interface from CRM to EBS.  The desire is to increase the integration and keep customers, items, etc in synch between the applications.

I know that the AIA/PIP exists but have not heard of any successful implementations.

Please let me know if this is a viable direction to pursue.
