Strange, apparently incompatible, figures in AWR report

My customer has an 11.2.0.3 database (with PSU 7 applied), which uses ASM (also at 11.2.0.3) for its data files. He is experiencing inconsistent i/o rates, so I examined an AWR report - extracts can be seen below.
