Domain reboot issue about upgrading firmware from 1114 to 1116

Is it necessary to reboot the domain when upgrading XCP firmware from 1114 to 1116? The version of OBP firmware and POST firmware are the same but only XSCF firmware version is different.
I have tried this in a testing server M4000. The version number of XSCF, OBP and POST has no change after rebooted the domain. Therefore, I suspect if the reboot is necessary.
