Sales Order Status

Hi Guys,  I have not configured the NON DELIVERY INVOICE SOURCE on the OM Transaction Type <form>
the user has incorrectly processed a sales order with item master not marked as SHIPABLE
now the sales order is stuck with the line status = 'Awaiting Invoice Interface - Incomplete Data'
when i try to cancel the sales order the system intimates that the sales order has been fulfilled

Q: how can i cancel the sales order? (we shall correct the item master and properly ship the stock via a delivery)
