Approval Delegation

Hello,
I have an approver that went on vacation and did not setup a vacation rule. How can delegate her approval authority to another user for specific requisitions in her approval queue? 

If I use the Forward Documents function, it will only forward the notification to a new approver. The new approver will not have the same approval authority for the notification as the approver it is currently pending approval. Correct?
