Error with source and target meter

When attempting to associate a newly created target meter with an existing source meter, the following error occurs. Update procedure failed with the following error message: The relationship start date cannot be less than the effectivity start date or cannot be greater than the effectivity end date of the source and target counter/meter.

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Meters definition
2. Associate a new target with an existing source
3. Error appears
