Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Index created in Database level and not in E1

I would like to see if anybody can share their experience to add alternate index.

Do you know if we just create alternated index in database level and not generate thru E1, can E1 object uses it?

I have Oracle DBA created a database level alternated index and not generate in E1 I can not tell whether E1 recognize or not.

DBA thinks it take too long to generate in E1 so the dba just created in SQL level (database level) I am not sure E1 recognize it.

Please let me know if you have anything about this topic to share.
