Printer jobs stuck in the queue one after another

We are using solaris version 11 with EBS version 12.1.3

Right now the check printer is not able to print check. I checked the printer status in solaris and found out that there are four jobs from that check printer stuck in the queue and it says alert: printer stopped. Our unix admin is on vacation. How can I go about investigate this? Does this queue means it is a unix issue and not the printer itself? Gurus, please advise. Thank you very much.

lpstat -l

$ lpstat -l

        Alerts: printer-stopped
        queued for WestAllis_CheckPrint
