using ZFS for non-global zone and raw disks for Sybase Database

I have been asked to migrate a full root non-global zone Solaris 10 server from ufs metasets to zfs.

The supplier has said that we should be able to use ZFS, but have recommended we still use raw disks for the database and logs if possibel and set sybdata to a 2k record size.

Has anyone out there done this for sybase databases before and has it worked OK?

I found how the raw disks were presented to the old server.

Just wondering how I can do this is in zfs or if it is advisable even.

on the old server the 2 raw disks were added into the metaset and metainit used.

Howdy, Stranger!
