File system - Oracle 11.2.0.4 on Linux 6x

Hi

We are in the process of migrating our 10g database on Windows to 11.2.0.4 on Oracle Linux 6

Can someone please let us know what would be the best file system (we are not using ASM) for database?

The database size is 4 TB. Does it matter if we carve out 4 shunks from SAN of 1 TB each and mount it off of 4 file systems as opposed to carving out a single 4 TB chunk / partition from SAN and mount it off of a single file system?


Also, the SGA would be 12 to 14 GB. Should we use huge pages or no?
