Uploading files to the ZFS device

Hello all and Happy New year.I have a ZFS S7120 and need to upload the latest openssh to it.
I don't have ssh capabilities to the box but I can access it through the command line and the GUI.
I attempted to upload the file via the GUI, same process used to upload firmware patches.
Unfortunately the file is compressed and the device won't take it.
When it's uncompressed it's a directory of course so that won't upload.
Anyone have experience with this?
I haven't checked for a CD/DVD drive so I'll have to make the trek to its location to find out if it has one.
