Approval processing: adding a new line on a approved OP

We are using JDE 8.12 and we face the following issue with PO approval process:
When we edit an already approved PO to add a new line, neither line nor PO goes to re-approval process but the newly added line is not considered approved. So now we have a PO with one line that is neither approved not waiting for approval and it's status is the status of PO waiting to be approved.
Our system is set to not have PO re-approved in case of modification. So for that case, we'd like to consider the line already approved. Any idea how we can solve this?
