Excel Add In vs SmartView connection

Hi,

We would like to restrict the Excel Add In connections to Essbase 11.1.2.3 server and allow only SmartView connections.

Is there any way we can differentiate the Excel Add In and SmartView connections at Essbase server level? Excel Add-in uses the grid api and tcpip and smartview uses java over the web. If we can identify the users, we can use a batch script to logoff Excel Add In users.

Are there any other options like blocking the TCP/IP port or CDF?
