Is the suppression of a scheduled activity from a non-scheduled activity possible in oracle eAM?

I have defined an activity suppression in which a parent corrective activity (for which preventive schedule is not defined) is to suppress a child activity for which preventive schedule has been defined. Now when i create manual work order for the parent activity and complete it, it does not shift the next suggested due date of the child activity from the date of completion of the parent activity. The child activity is still suggested as per previous child activity completion date. 
Following is a practical example of the Activity suppression that i am trying to perform: 

1. Dicharging machine camera replacement is a corrective activity. It cannot be scheduled. When ever a failure occurs in the camera it is replaced and a manual work order is perpared for it.
