Subledger control

Hi all,
Could anyone tell me if there is a way to control the data introduced in the subledger field? Setting up posting edit code 'L' for an account controls the requirement of entering a Subledger type and a Subledger. But is there a way to control the values entered in the Subledger type and Subledger fields (For example if I want only the Subledger type C to be used for the account 1.4010.1 )?
