Unable to Backdate Receipts

Some of my users were not able to do their receivables receipt on time. they are now trying to backdate the receipts to 31st of December which is 7 days but are getting error - You cannot Backdate Receipts after the 3rd calender day of the month.
how can I change this to enable them backdate these receipts?
