Excel Add-In VB API & SmartView API prerequisites

Hi,

What are the prerequisites client should have to use Excel Add-In VBA / API and SmartView VBA / API ? I mean, do they require

1) Essbase runtime environment or Essbase client in each client machine who uses SmartView VBA / API to access Essbase Server

2) VB or .NET Version etc?

Essbase Server 11.1.2.3

SmartView 11.1.2.3

Excel Add-In 11.1.1.3 / 7.1.2
