Auto shutdown Oracle rdbms 10g
Hi,
Today we had an issue with our storage on a Suse 10 server. Several test Oracle instance, 10g, did went automatically down (shutdown immediate). I suppose Oracle does this to prevent damage.
I've seen this in the past but I thought Oracle does create a trace file with information regarding the reason of the shutdown. I can't find anything (just the shutdown info in the alert-log). Maybe Oracle wasn't able to write the info because of the storage issues. I've been browsing Metalink to find info about a self intitiated shutdown but cant find anything. Any idease (metalink notes)?
regards,
