Missing all changes made to Solaris 10 X86 system since last reboot.
One of my colleagues performed what was supposed to be a routine reboot of a SunFire X4470 running Solaris 10 X86.
When the system came up, it was as if every change made since the last reboot was missing.
1. The .xml files for two recently-created local zones were missing, and their entries in /etc/zones/index were gone.
2. The Legato Networker backup software package was missing, as if it had never been installed.
3. My changes to /etc/default/init to correct a timezone issue, made just prior to the reboot, were gone.
It was like the system stepped backward through a time warp.
