Backup of Solaris 10 branded zones
Hello Solaris gurus, please bear with me, as I am fairly new to Solaris, and zones.
I have a solaris 11 server setup with (3) solaris 10 branded zones.
I have created a new ZFS filesystem on a SAN volume to house the zones.
What is the proper/ideal way to backup zones? Can we install our backup agent (Symantec netbackup in our case) in the global zone, and simply backup the mount point for the ZFS filesystem?
Is there a way to dump the zone configurations to flat files, in case they need to be re-built from bare metal?
Thanks in advance for your ideas/comments/suggestions.
