PIM Error ITEM_LEVEL assignment exists for a ruleset, select different assignment

 When i try to do a rule set assignment to newly created rule i get this error :ITEM_LEVEL assignment exists for a ruleset, select different assignmentI already have a rule defined for Business Entity -Item.
But i need to create one more rule set for a different attribute group- Please advise
I have done setups as suggested in note :1086646.1 but not able to figure out how to get rid of this issue.
