We have two solaris (SunOS usbdglims011 5.10 Generic_147440-27 sun4v sparc SUNW,T5240) servers, which has 96G of physical memory each, both servers have vertitas clustering enabled. One server is active and other is passive, which
will be active incase of failover.

We are planning to move two of the larger databases on to the secondary server and allocate 80% of available physical memory to the databases ie., around 70G to
them.

The remaining databases will still remain on primary and will be using around 50% of physical memory on the server combinedly i.e., around 50G. so, in case of
failover of databases on secondaty to primary, will oracle understand that there will be only ~ 45g of memory available on primary and it has to reduce the SGA

Howdy, Stranger!
