Linking Multiple Records

Is it possible to link Company records (ie via the Parent Company ID) to more than one Parent Company? 
We are looking to import some data on New Build Projects which will have the following details: 
Client/Account (Main record) 
Developer - link to client
Architect - link to client 
Project Manager - link to client 
Main Contractor - link to client 

This process I am able to do using the Parent Company ID, however there will be instances where the Developer/Architect/Project Manager/Main Contractor are also associated with other Clients/Accounts - potentially 10s of other projects. How can I achieve this without duplicating the records?
