Siebel gateway on 8.1

Dear all,

We are planning to upgrade our Siebel 8.0 application to 8.1.1.11. We will be hosting the whole Siebel infrastructure on RHEL 6.1 (virtual).

Do we still need the Gateway in a cluster ? I feel we don't need sinceit  the virtual layer will take care of a quick re-build in case of crash or issue.
