Oracle's best practices for paycheck signature storage for BI Publisher template

Good afternoon!
We are going to implement BI Publisher for the paycheck printing. We have 4 different signatures for each company. I have create a sub template to store the signatures and call it from the main template which will bring the right signature for the corresponding company.
What is Oracle's recommendation and best practice for this process? I would appreciate any of your inputs.
