Pay check re-issue

JDE E1 8.12 question.

I want to be able to re-issue a check after changing the check # and check date to the current date without having to void the original check. The amounts on the check do not change. I don't see that as an option in 8.12. I haven't been able to locate an ESU for this process, either. Is this a 9.0 and later option?
