SQL Access Advisor question

Using EM and trying SQL Access Advisor. When I select it from Advisor Central I get 2 options.1. Verify the use of Access structures
2. Recommend new access structures.
I understand that the second option will recommend new indexes, materialized views etc. What the first option does is not clear.
Will it verify that the access structures are valid?
