Intangible Checkbox on Asset Category setup

Hello,

What does the Intangible Checkbox on Asset Category setup drive?  Navigation is Setup Financials/Supply Chain>Product Related>Asset Management>Financials>Categories.

I noticed checking this on or leaving off does not change the account options (ADD, DEPR, TFR, etc) that show up on the Accounting Entry template.  What is the purpose of this field?
