DEPRECIATION LIMITS AND STATUS

Hello,

We are using Financials 9.0 thru Bundle 35.  I have created an Asset Category with the Depreciable radio button turned on (navigation for this setup Set Up Financials/Supply Chain>Product Related>Asset Management>Financials>Categories).  I have Capitalize Limit set to $1000 on the Business Unit/Book Definition page for my CORP book (navigation for this setup Set Up Financials/Supply Chain>Business Unit Related>Assets>Asset Management Definition).

If an asset with a depreciable Asset Category is created with a value of $500 will the Capitilize Limit kick in and ensure this asset is never depreciated? 

How is the Depreciable Status radio button on Asset Category setup different from the Depreciable Status on the Asset Profile (navigation Set Up Financials/Supply Chain>Product Related>Asset Management>Profiles>Asset Profiles>Depreciation tab)?
