Is it Advisable to Update the Data Access Set Created

 Hello All , 
We went live  recently  and as part of release we have created a New Data Access based ( attached  a  1 Ledger set )on the Business requirements . 

But now Business came up saying that they wanted to  break the Ledgers in the Ledger-set created as few reports were pulling data related  to all the ledger in that Ledger sets .

Updating Ledgers Sets is not a problem  but now my question  Since we are breaking the current Ledger Set into  2 ledger sets  , I would need to attach  the new Ledger set I will create  to the Data Access Set . 

 Can I  update the existing Data-Access Set ?  Is  it even advisable  to Update the existing Data Access Set ? Do I  have any Impacts ?
