SEPA Direct Debit Remittance Format for Germany

The Direct Debit Remittance Format provided by Oracle is based on the pain 008.001.02 format. Our German bank requires the format to be 008.002.02. Oracle stated that they do not provide specific formats for different countries and recommended to use XML Publisher to create a custom format.

Is there a PL/SQL Stored Procedure  available that is based on the 008.002.02 format?

Does anyone know what the difference is between the standard 008.001.02 format and the German 008.002.02 format?  I have read that the only difference is that the BIC number is a requirement in the German format.
