We are updating our business flow and we would like to change the Purchase Order Activity Rules - ke

What is the best way to update Order Activity Rules for purchase orders?  We have been live on 9.0 for 3 years now and we are changing some of our processes, when we try to remove a couple of status' from the OAR, we get an error.
