Salespersons with Category of Other

Are there any implications in Receivables or any other Oracle EBS application to creating salespersons manually rather than importing them from HR?  I realize they get a category of Other rather than Employee.  Will this cause an issue with any reporting or functionality if we decide to implement other applications such as Incentive Comp in the future?
