There are some observations that I am unable to understand. Can somebody help understand?

1. Why mention the userid in GLOBALS file? Because, even if an incorrect userid is mentioned in the GLOBALS file, it still seems to pick up the userid from mgr’s params file.

2. Even if there is no userid, password in mgr’s params file, mgr starts. Just that, in that case, we don’t see a db server process for the mgr in the DB i.e. the mgr does not seem to have logged into the DB. Will something fail later?

3. When Extract is started, it seems to be created 2 local BEQ sessions in the DB. Why?

Howdy, Stranger!
