Form Applet controls in Open UI overlapping?

Hi,
I have a phenomenon of overlapping controls in some custom applets. I can't figure out what this might be related to.
The version this appears is 8.1.1.11.3 - but only appears on some custom applets, but not on all!
This only happens on Chrome, IE11 is fine!
Please find attached screenshot. Is someone able to get me on the right track where I need to look for an error?
