Default Position for Hierarchy

Hi,

While creation of position hierarchy, system by default capturing one employee. I would like to know, on what basis system capturing default employee.

Eg.

Two employees, system by default captured AGM. Now I would like to create hierarch from DGM->AGM

1. AGM

2. DGM
