Question on installing SSO for Oracle E-Business Suite

Hello,

I have a question about how Oracle Internet Application server (IAS) works...

We are planning to have SSO installed for Oracle E-Business Suite(R12.1.3), Does IAS used for SSO functionality. Currently Information Security Uses Windows Active Directory, Will IAS support Windows Active Directory or do we need Oracle Internet Directory(OID) in support of SSO.

I am bit confused of Purchasing IAS and installing it will get SSO functionality or not??
