ORACLE DB 11gR2RAC - 6 nodes
OS: Linux 6

Our system admin is applying OS patch/maintenance on one of the six RAC server, he would like us to stop Oracle Instance / GRID and ASM from starting automatically

I see the following Oracle Doc but not sure if this is what I have to do.

1. is this the correct way to stop oracle instance ? ( I have already stopped the instance - srvctl stop instance -d prodv -i prod1)
2. where do i find my "state_file"?
3. which steps should I use to disable / enable starting Oracle Instance / GRID and ASM.

4 Configuring Automatic Restart of an Oracle Database

Howdy, Stranger!
